The Dragon Phalanx was the largest extant population of draconians in Orden, created by Good King Omund's wizard Vitae[1] to dispense justice throughout the land and protect the weak from the strong.[2] In their prime, members of the Dragon Phalanx - known individually as dragon knights - numbered several thousand.
History
The dragon knights kept the roads and towns of Vasloria safe under Omund's rule. When the King was betrayed by Mandrake, captain of the Dragon Phalanx, the Dragon Knights broke and fell with the kingdom, scattering.[2]
During the rule of Ajax, every dragon knight had a high bounty upon their head. These bounties were sometimes collected by desperate citizens who would call upon the Hawklords to come and take a dragon knight that had been spotted to Ajax's Chrysopolis.[2]
Dragonflights
The Dragon Phalanx was made up of eight dragonflights,[1] including the Thunder Phalanx[1] and the Blue Dragon Phalanx[3], who built a fortress in the Forest of Rend.
Known Dragon Phalanx members
- Vaantikalisax, member of the Thunder Phalanx[1]
- Mandrake, captain of the Dragon Phalanx[1]
- Sir Vanazor[4]
- Raizorojan, captain of the Blue Dragonflight[3]
