Kalas Valiar was called Kalas Mithral in Strongholds & Followers and Kingdoms & Warfare, but its name was changed as the timescape setting was fleshed out during the creation of Draw Steel.[1]

The city of Kalas Valiar was created by the steel dwarves during the Age of Elementals. Considered the capital of Orden for a time, it featured mile high walls and was deemed impenetrable.[2]

History

While Zarr was Thane of Kalas Valiar and Lord of House Q’or, the city was besieged by the Army of Night during the war against Cyn. The siege lasted over seven months before Zarr emerged from his expedition into the depths of Orden with the War-ender, having found the Tellac Oranic. Using the stone Zarr prompted the Army of Night to retreat, however the stone devoured the lives of the entire Legion of Adamant. Allowing the Army of Night to advance once more and sack the city.
