Children of Kul, the kanin were the fifth of the speaking people. [1]

Physiology

Orcs had a physiological conditions which caused their veins to glow. This happened when they pushed themselves to the limit, when they were excited, driven or even when blood was drawn [1]. This phenomenon was known as "blood fire" or "oruk" in a long-lost language [2].

They possess tough-skinned faces, their hair can range from coarse to fine, extending from their heads and drapes across their shoulders like royal mantles. A pair of strong tusks extends past their lip and guard the rest of their teeth. [2]

Psychology

The might of an orc's anger was legendary as it was capable of driving one to the edge of death. Orcs were famed in Ordenas consummate warriors - a reputation that the peace-loving orcs found distasteful. [1]

They made their homes in the borderlands between human and elven cultures, preferring the natural forests and avoiding the elf-haunted wodes [1]. However, they were also an adaptable ancestry, having settled into villages and cities, hot and cold climates, high in the mountains and deep underground [2].

Their dichotomy between their desire to be left alone and their zeal for battle is summarized in a dwarven proverb:

Be thankful orcs do not hold grudges
—A dwarf, once, [1]

Known Orcs

Cultural Groups

Vasloria

Dominant orc language in Vasloria was Kalliak, an offshoot of the Zaliac language [6]. Kanin in kalliak translated to "the people" [1].

Have domesticated mohlers to plow the earth and eat pests, but have also made use of these pig-like beasts in time of war. In order to travel great distances, orcs have relyed on scyzas, giant bipedal lizards, by adorning these mounts with great harnesses which allowed dozens of orcs to ride a scyza at the same time. [2]

White Tusk Orcs

The White Tusk Orcs were an orc clan in Bedegar. Once lead by Bonebreaker Dorokor and inhabited a ruined Castle Rend. [3]
