The first of the speaking peoples, children of Ket. [1]

Physiology

Being formed from Ket's essence, dragons could bend the laws of creation themselves [1]. They are said to be able to devour entire worlds. [2]

Although the elder dragons did not die, some eventually grew bored and rejoined themselves with Ket.

Psychology

Because the dragons were made from Ket's power, they knew Ket. They shared his thoughts and knew his mind and he could see through their eyes. They loved Ket, and Ket loved them in return. [1]

The elder dragon's language was the First Language. [1] [3]

After the creation of the Inexorables, the elder dragons spent their time slumbering. [1] [2]

History

Creation and birth

As the gods create the world, Ket, using his own essence, formed the magnificent Draco Nobilis, gave them minds and placed them within the world. He created life so they could know, understand and appreciate the gods' work. [1]

Humans and the coming of war

Eventually the humans' warring turned to the elder dragons. Compelled by Ket, who was furious, the dragons tried to destroy the humans. However, with the coming of Worship, the humans managed to turn the tables and they almost genocided the dragons. [1]

Inexorables

With the death of the God of Death, the Inexorables were created. Created to ensure humans never meet their creator and to enforce the laws of nature. Due to this, the remaining elder dragons slept as their mere existence bent the laws of creation. [1]

It was rumored that an elder dragon slept at the sun's core and was responsible for bringing light to the entire Mundane World. [2]

Law of Magic

In mourning for his children and his dead brother, Ket created the Law of Magic. Granting access to his essence and power to those willing to obey his esoteric rules and learn the secrets of the First Language, the speech of his dead children. [1]
